We are seeking donations to fund to two court cases that will have a major impact on the way the courts treat divorced or never married parents.

 

One case will be in federal court and will challenge the custody laws of the State of Ohio and they law that is used to establish temporary custody. This case has the potential to have a major impact on the custody laws of every state. While this case is presently filed, it is being stalled by the federal court by their refusal to grant a request to proceed with the filing of the court fees. As this has been going on for several months now, we believe the only way that we will be able to move this forward is to pay the fee of $350 and worry about the money later.

 

The second case is being started on the local level and will seek to challenge the authority of the courts to set temporary orders. The attorney that is representing the gentleman in this matter is working Pro Bono but we are still responsible for the filling fees. This one will affect Ohio parents and this argument will be available for use in every state when we have a decision.

 

Both these cases will benefit fit parents across the nation and are equally important for grandparents as their rights are affected when their child go thru the mess of the family court system. All the case files will be available for viewing on this site and on the PACE website. Please see it in your hearts to help us with these efforts. I have major time and money tied up in both these efforts right now because I do not want my son to suffer the way that I have from the injustices of the courts.
